Lubuntu 12.10 won\'t boot from hard drive after install

i have installed lubuntu 12.10 alt from a dvd, checked the dvd before install all ok...install seemed to go fine...but now when i try to boot from the hard drive all i get is a black screen with a small ok in the top right corner...did the install again and same...what's wrong>>

I think I would try boot repair and see if it fixes your problem ,
