Theres a file which is "corrupt" but when I try deleting it, it appears in the recycle bin like it should, but then if I try deleting from the recycle bin it keeps reappearing. I've tried going into safe mode and deleting is but no success. Can somebody please tell me how to delete this file? Theres nothing too harmful about it but it's a nuisance and is annoying.
I know this is old school but - create a startup disk that will allow you to get to a command prompt before windows ever starts. If you don't know how to do this press F1 and find out. ( i actually use a windows98 startup disc) Then restore the currupt file to its original location. Use the "del" command in the command prompt and delete away. I use this for virus's since there is no binding of the file to an operating system at this point and it will allow you to delete anything.
