Lex in fedora 8

I am trying to execute lex programs in fedora 8 but its showing that command not found.
If you can help?

hello, you probably need to install (f)lex and dependencies first.

yum install flex bison

btw fedora 8 is nearly 5 1/2 years old. You probably won't receive more help since this release has been long depreciated.

Update your system!
