have a look at the size difference between, Used Space in C: properties i.e. 56.5GB and space used by all the files and folders in the root of C: with all the files visible i.e. 59.2 and 54.4 GB depending what u r comparing, is 2.7GB and -2.1GB Respectively

I thinks my PC is on booz

Any Explanations Einsteins

Yes I do But I can access all those users folders in docs and settings so I guess They are reflected
in the all root folder properties

My guess is still that there is some folder that you don't have access to which would explain the difference. What about "System Volume Information"?

The pagefile can account for the difference... since it shrinks and grows as needed. If you have a fixed-size pagefile, then disregard.

------------------------------ Desktop: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit; Intel Q6600 CPU; E-VGA 780i SLI motherboard; E-VGA E-GeForce 8800GT; OCZ Vista 4GB dual-channel kit; Ultra X2 750W power supply; 2 x Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB in RAID 0. Laptop: Acer Aspire 8730-6314;

Pagefile have been accounted for though its fixed-size, but a variable sized should also be reflected at both the places

so its out of Q

But "System Volume Information" could be it but can it take 2GB? if so its is the culprit

A couple of Gb for System Volume Information is quite modest, so I would strongly suspect that this is where the missing space is.

Do a Google on System Volume Information for more information.

Ok Since it contains System roll back points it can account for such space!
Good work
