Greetings everyone,

I have a Sempron 2300+ running on an Asus A7V600X with 768 MB RAM and Windows XP. I have always used the onboard sound card, which is perfectly good for my needs, but recently I began using voice communication over the internet, and got discomfortable with having to switch my speakers' plug with the headset's plug in the back of the computer, so I installed an old (but perfectly functioning) Sound Blaster PCI 128.
The problem is that Windows refuses to even recognise the existence of the Sound Blaster. I've already tried changing the PnP OS flag in the BIOS, and even tried manually setting the PCI slot's interrupt, to no avail.

Any ideas on making this work? Is this even possible or am I just wasting time?
