I just purchased a new dell machine with Windows Vista installed. I was wondering if it was possible to create an exact copy of my system, so that I can restore it to exactly how it is right now, just in case I was to get a bunch of viruses or something. I feel that now is the only time that I can be sure that my PC is absolutely clean, and I thought it would be great if I could restore it to this state if I ever had any serious problems.
I've read that doing a Windows System Restore doesn't actually do this and viruses can still linger on after wards. Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
