I have windows vista and when i open the disk management i see the hard disk as Healthy(system,boot,page file,active,crash dump,primary partition)

i just want to know what is crash dump and if this is a problem on my hard disk

A "crash" occurs when there has been a Windows crash (aka BSOD or blue screen of death) or other serious hardware or software related problem.

The "crash dump" gathers technical information about the crash and writes (dumps) it to a file.

A crash dump message will look like this:

Technical information:
*** STOP: 0×0000007E (0C0000005, 0×81C908A2)
Collecting data for crash dump …
Initializing disk for crash dump …
Beginning dump of physical memory.
Dumping physical memory to disk: 50


And the technical information will usually be written to:
C:\WINDOWS\Minidump or C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP

But it does not mean that there is anything wrong with your HDD.
It's just showing where the crash dump data is stored.
