i have a pc with microsoft xp thats been installed with it for a while. all a sudden i got the windows disk boot failure,insert system disk and press enter. ive been reading that i need to re install the os but i need the information on the hard drive does anyone know if its possible to transfer the hard drive to a diff pc to get the data off of it

Best way to find out is to try it and see. All depends upon what's wrong with the disk.
