So I just bought a computer and as soon as I got it I couldn't install any programs that I had downloaded off of the internet. I can install programs from CD's fine but nothing else. No Antivirus, MSN Messenger, Firefox, etc. I contacted Dell Support and they *tried* a few things that didn't help, then they overnighted me the Vista OS Disc to do a clean install and it still doesn't work.
The error I'm getting everytime is the same:
Quote :
The file was blocked because it does not have a digital signature that verifies its publisher
I have tried going to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced and checking "allow programs to install even if invalid signature" and it doesn't work.
I'm aware that there are other browsers for Windows hence me saying firefox wouldn't install. But I have fixed the problem. All I did was hook the system directly up to the router and installations worked so I updated my wireless adapter drivers and its now working.
