Imaged a hibernating xpsp2 partition

Last response: in Applications

Hello
Today I restored an image to a XPSP2 partition(DualBoot) while it was hibernating. Result after rebooting was, that XPSP2 resumed from hibernation, as if it wasn't imaged. What happend? I think it has something to do with the Hiberfil.sys, what Ghost8 does or doesnt do with this file and how Windows restarts.... Who can help? We want to make sure that when we restore an image to a partition, it starts up clean instead of resuming from hibernation.... Anyone out there know what to do or what happend?

Thanks for now

H,
Well we worked something out: We uncheck the hibernation option in windows xpsp2 so the hiberfil.sys doesn't exist anymore, then we dump the image. The powersettings will be made with Powercfg /hibernation on combined with EZGPO installation and policies.

This way even though the partition is hibernating, after an image is restored, windows starts clean, not resuming out of hybernation.
Maybe this is helpfull for someone else....
