I was checking out chipsets for what i wanted with my new board recently; and it seems like the P965 would be best for me, as i am not going to SLI/Crossfire my cards

did some work on it, seems like the Gigabyte DS3 is the industry standard, but i was curious if anyone had a different view on a preferred board?

any input would be helpful; as of yet my knowlege on the subject is middle range, but technical jargon is easily researched- so feel free

thanks in advance

There are a lot of MB around. Aside from what Raven_87 said, MSI, Intel would be a good option. Intel if you are not looking to overclock.

agreed on Intel for stability....

I've found the caps tend to swell pretty quick within their lifetime though
with the couple that I've owned.

MSI isnt too bad, depending on what model board you get.
