Will my new system run linux

I'm trying to build a low cost htpc . I've decided to go the linux . I have some experience with ubuntu and puppy . I was wondering if my system. that i'm in the process of building will run linux with minimal problems. Here is the system specs . What i plan to do with it is watch movies, go on the web, facebook , and maybe some emulators later on prolly just nes and snes . Thanks for any help that can be given . Also would this system possibly run openelec . I am a newbie to pc building and trying to learn new stuff everyday .

Yes it will run ubuntu/puppy whatever, you wont have any issues.

I have a similar build for my htpc (AMD E-350, 2Gb ram, openelec runs off 8GB USB3.0 drive), openelec fusion build works perfectly out of the box. both 2.0 and 3.0 have no issues, full hardware acceleration for 1080p H.264, and HDMI audio output. 3.0 builds include support for HD-Audio output.
You may need to use generic build, not sure if fusion works with your cpu

Yes your system will run linux, more systems can run linux than Windows actually.
