I have an OEM key for vista, as far as I know it has only been installed once on my laptop, I also have a retail installation CD for the same version of Vista, I was wondering if it would be possible to just use that key on the desktop I'm building, maybe by calling Microsoft and having them renew it and telling them that I'm upgrading my hardware? I heard of it working, but I wasn't sure if it would apply to my situation.
