I have always been curious about Linux, I always heard of it but never used it and after using Windows OS's and Mac OS's I wanted to see what Linux was like too, and wow there is so many options for a Linux based OS's it is confusing and it also creates its own form of jargon so I had a question about it.
Is Linux created from GNU or is GNU created from Linux? I don't really understand the GNU OS at all. From there what goes to what? the Linux OS I am using is LinuxMint but I also saw Ubuntu and some other ones. Are all these OS's from different developers who merely use the Linux kernel? or is it the GNU kernel? Obviosuly I need some help straightening this out. any help you can give me would be helpful. Thank you.
