I am trying to install a sata hdd into my computer. Windows setup dosen't find the hdd. I have the sats drivers on floppy but when I press F6 during setup nothing happens. The BIOS apparently sees the hdd, if I push tab I can see it.
My mobo is a MSI K8M Neo-V (K8M800).
Is there something I am missing in the BIOS settings?
First go to..
http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php [...] rod_no=159 and download the the driver which says VIA VT8237(R) SATA RAID Driver (For floppy driver)
copy it in a floppy and use it pressing f6 during windows setup (press it when you see the message on your screen). If it doesn't work we will try a utillity called nlite.

I've done both those things, the problem I am having is that when I press F6 during setup I don't get the screen tha tells me to insert the floppy and to select the driver.
"intergrate drivers" option --->from floppy with drivers
Burn the iso
Iso xp cd will run with the drivers intergraded.

I tkink this is going to work. I burnt 1 CD and for some reason it wouldn't work, i am going to try again to make sure I did it right. One question, for the drivers it asks to put the in as plug n play or text, which should I be using?
