Xp with no NCQ

So im installing xp on my laptop but i have to change the sata from native to legacy/compatible or something. But i guess this will reduce performance because i wont have ncq. i know drivers can be installed but i dont have floppy and don't really want to try hard to figure it out.

so i was wondering if it is still worth installing xp if i will be running a little slower, or will it not?

Not having NCQ has no impact on performance, unless your laptop also happens to be a file server for a significant number of users or you are running a bunch of VMs on it.
