I intend to buy that CPU cooler.

But some people are claiming that it works properly only for horizontal cases, but not for towers.

Apparently it tilts because of its weight and the screws with springs of the retention mechanism. So it does not cool the CPU very well and one of the cores is overheated.

Any experience?

I own one, and it's not tilting. It was my first build, so putting the heat sink on was the biggest concern I had with the entire build.

The 120 extreme was a B**** to put on, but once I got it on, it's running great.

e6600 @3.2 GHz, 1.425V (which could probably come down), 29 degrees idle, 49 degrees load.
