Now this is an upgrade, Virgin Atlantic frequent flyer converts miles into a space trip
A north Londoner will be getting the ultimate upgrade with his Virgin Atlantic frequent flier miles. Alan Watts, a former electrician, has amassed more than 2 million miles and has converted them into a space trip on the newly formed Virgin Galactic. He will be one of the first 1,000 people scheduled to fly to 75 miles above Earth. Read more
Virgin Galactic and NASA partner up
Virgin Galactic and NASA are partnering to make space suits, heat shields and other equipment for space travel. In a collaborative deal announced this week, no money will change hands, but NASA scientists say both their agency and Virgin are in the business of making spaceships and a lot could be learned by both teams. CES 2007: Dell combines its new trinkets into the Home Media Suite
After announcing its newfangled 27" monitor and other such high-end paraphanalia, Dell has introduced a Home Media Suite which combines an XPS 410 desktop, 27" flat-panel monitor, speakers, printer, wirless and digital television tuner into one neat package to "gear up the home" - "gearing up" being a new Dell catchphrase.
