MSI P6N SLI-FI - new build will power but no post - HELP!!

Here's what I have in right now:

MSI P6N SLI-FI
Intel Core 2 Duo E6420
2x1GB G.Skill DDR2 800
Antec Earthwatts 500W PSU

-- NO VGA CARD -- It's in shipment. I'm just listening for post codes to make sure the machine boots up okay.

It powers for a second, but there is no beep and the diagnostic LEDs do not light up. Then, it powers down.

I would appreciate any help.

Okay, forgot to mention that I have Maxtor 250GB.

Also, I unplugged USB ports from the backplate, all SATA drives, system fan, front audio connectors to narrow down the problem.

Finally, I put in a graphics card to see if a lack of one might be the problem. It's a MSI NX8500GT.

Still, the same problem. Any ideas?

I followed the link, and I'll give some of the tips a try -- hope it works!

And yes, I'm sure I took off the CPU plastic. I might try reseating it.
