Best music player for Windows

Hi there. I have been using WMP for a while and I feel the need for a change.
So what free player would you suggest for playing music? I don't need to play video because I have VLC for that.

I have been looking at reviews and such and it seems AIMP2 is fairly decent. I'm looking for sound quality, customization and some sort of hotkey set up.
I'm running XP Home by the way.

Foobar2000 and Winamp are the best IMO. I always use foobar2000.

Go for Winamp! Best for audio!
Go for VLC Media Player! Best for video! It can play anything!

WMP good but for the addons we have to pay,,.
other than that try Jetaudio free ,, its really fantastic has lot options ...i'm using retail version which has more features like audi & video conversion

try SRS Audio box equalizer, i WMP they had had an option for using if you installed & its listed under View->enhancements->SRS WOW effects

i mostly use jet audio for both audio & video, bcz for its sound effects,, i also have vlc , media-player classic with klite codec pack & WMP11.. but none matched audio quality with jetaudio for me..

just try basic free version first, if you satisfied you can get full version & it wort pay the money you paid..

AIMP2 really rocks, tabbed playlist, autoshutdown, quick search, bookmarks(I sometimes listen to audiobooks where tabs and bookmars help a lot), global shortcuts, love separators of directories in playlist, lots of skins...
