Hi All,
I have a CISCO router which is causing some hiccups. I am on broadband, cable via this router, and my connection seems to be toggling between connected and disconnected states. I can see my LAN icon saying LAN cable unlugged and in a couple of seconds toggles to LAN Cable Unplugged. This keeps happening and I can see my router lights flickering vigourously. I have a GE cordless phone placed very close to this router. Could this be the cause for this, if not can anybody suggest a remedy for this?

I have tried restarting the router, but it does happen quite frequently.
Cables is are fit correctly with no loose contact, be it the broadband cable or the Power (Adapter) cable.

P.S
Is there any way to find my password for the router, I dont seem to remember it.

Thanks,
WarHero

What model Cisco router do you have and did you configure it yourself?

If you lost you password I hope you kept your console cable. You'll have to do a password recovery. http://www.cisco.com/en/US/product [...] 46e6.shtml

The reason for the disconnects can be just about anything, if you have the logs for the router someting might be said about the cause.
