Hi guys, the only way I know how to build my hard disk's master boot record (I'm trying to recover from a virus) is through fdisk /mbr. Anyone know a better way? Thanks for any advice.

There is a method on the page linked below. It is used when creating a dual boot with XP and it overwrites the bootloader. Basically it should do what you are trying to achieve, you will need your Vista OS install disk though.
