hi!
i encrypted my personal data folder in windows xp using the windows encryption by right clicking on the personal folder---properties--general tab---advanced---and selecting the encrypt option.
i have 4 harddrives and this folder wasn't on the drive in which windows xp was installed.
recently i had to format my 'C' drive because of some trojan.
now when i try opening the data in the folder -images give me this message--no preview and word files don't open.
i have tried using pheonix data recovery software--but still the files don't open.
can anyone help me out?

thanks!

If this doesn't work http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308993 your data is probably gone; to the best of my knowledge, the file encryption used by XP has never been broken.
