Dumb question, but can someone that doesn't have microsoft office view powerpoint, word, excel files? If they can't what would be a free remedy to this? Would open office allow a person to view ms office files?

Thanks

open office allows you to use Microsoft office files, however if another person does not have openoffice remember to save the document in a file type that can be read by Microsoft office (i.e .doc)

Ok, thanks. I think you can use powerpoint viewer (which is free) to view powerpoint slides as well.
