How to secure wps on router?

I have Cisco Linksys E1200 router and I used backtrack 5r3 and reaver to hack it. My router is wpa2 encrypted but I found that it is hackable by using reaver to exploit the wps. I see no options in the menus to lock wps in my router's gui. How do I secure it?

This is alarming as I am a noob to linux and with a few days of learning I was able to hack my router which to me means I am very vulnerable.

It is well known that WPS is insecure. Linksys has released a firmware upgrade for the E1200 that lets you disable WPS. http://homekb.cisco.com/Cisco2/ukp.aspx?pid=80&vw=1&articleid=25154

You need a better router, one that allows you to disable WPS. Then enable WPA2 AES encryption using a strong passphrase.
