what is the function of the Tun Miniport adaptor and why would it have a yellow exclamation point beside it. also technician said it is not working???

TUN Miniport Adaptor is by Microsoft and (I believe) to allow IPv4 to operate (Tunnel) on an IPv6 network.
If you get the yellow exclamation mark, you may have both IPv4 and IPv6 installed on the same network adaptor.
