PSU power useful for Photoshop & cie ?

Hi,

I was wondering if Adobe Suite programs like Photoshop are able to use the power of graphic cards. If some particular graphic card has 1GB for example, does Photoshop know how to exploit this 1GB ?

  1. Make your Question & topic clear buddy!

    PSU- Power supply unit- SMPS
GPU- Graphics processing unit - Graphics Card

For photoshop,a nice midrange GPU will be fine. You have to look for a fast CPU with lots of system ram, not a fast GPU. Lets look at what adobe says you need.

  2. Ok so it still does not exploit GPU power, except a little (canvas rotation and something else too). Thank you very much for your reponse and links !
