Every time the computer times out, I have to use "switch user" or login to get back to my desktop? I am the "only" person using this comp. so I don't want to have to keep doing that. Not sure how that even started, didn't use to have to do the "log-in" thing?

goto desktop properties>screen saver

there's an option there to require a password whenever the computer goes to screen saver, you need to uncheck it.
