I want to retrieve my document

I was working i my flashdrive and saved the document. As i was about to close the document, i discovered a virus in the title box of the save menu and i cancelled it and the whole document is lost. When you open word you can see the document but it cannot open. What do I do? please help.

Bring it to an IT person and he/she might be able to recover it for you. However I wouldn't put too much hope on it since you never gave the program a chance to save the document properly.

What software package were you using to create/edit your document?
You said you saved the document? How did you do that? Where was it saved?
