This is the error report window's automatically wrote out. Thought I would link it to get somekind of insight on the problem.
My computer has been randomly like.. well I dont really know how to describe it. I can hear the sound of the CPU shutting down (the highpitch sound fading out), like when you flip the main power switch on the back of a tower. But the fans, video & audio cards still try to run. When it happens the screen goes blank (moniter still on), sound just repeats like when a computer freezes. I also notice that all of the fans in the computer start to run excessively faster than they do any other time.
I should also add that I took the side of the case off to dust'er off, and upon closer inspect I noticed that the bottem half of one of my RAM sticks wasn't all the way in. So I shut it down and put it all the way in, turned it on, and it still did the.. 'restart/freeze/diaf' thing that it does.
I've been dealing with this off and on for almost a year now, and I can't afford to buy a new computer, moving off for college soon. D:
Should I just suffer through a few months of working a second job and buy a new computer, or is there a way to fix this?
If you think you can help me out, but need some more info on the computer's history email me.
Or if you have some advise, recommendations, anything at all, please email me; sjlocke91@gmail.com

First up:
You cannot link files that reside on your hard drive. The internet does not know how to find your C drive :p

Next:
CPUs do not make noise. OK, something in your case is making a high pitched noise and then seems to shut down... but it's not your CPU. A CPU is a solid chip and makes zero noise.

You say something winds down, the screen goes black, and all the fans in your case speed up. Sounds like your CPU fan dies, which then causes your CPU to overheat. The system sees the soaring temps and tries to cool things down.

You should list out all the parts of your system.

if you have side off then turn it on and look and find the high pitched whine
