I have a bunch of opentype fonts that came with adobe and some that did not and I am trying to use the alternate sets for them, however Photoshop's opentype box is 'greyed' out. This situation is the same for all of the opentype fonts. How do I fix this?

Although Adobe and Microsoft confirm that once the font is selected you can click on the options and you'll be able to choose the extended features, I have not been able to do it yet. I get the same results. So now I'm only working with True Type fonts and the majority of them have the alternate sets. I have been working with Photoshop and Illustrator since 1992 and ever since True Type came into play, PostScript Type 1 fonts started becoming obsolete. Up to now, I have never had any problems with True Type fonts, and I recommend sticking to them.
