Ok, so I have Windows Home premium. For some reason, Aero suddenly dissapeared. I was able to use Aero's thumbnail effect as well as it's transparency effect. Then, a few days ago it just suddenly stopped, and yes, I meet all requirements for Aero. It's like, this, whe ni look for Aero on the personlization thing, it's not there, usually Aero is on top, but instead Windows Vista Basic on it. Any reasons? I did use Spybot -Search and Destroy, as well as CCleaner. I don't think those would screw up Aero. My system info is:


Windows Vista Home Premium
Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2200 @ 2.20GHz
3.00 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 7100/ NVIDIA nForce 630i

So yeah, I have no idea why it's gone , also i downloaded a game called Ether Saga, but that doesn't matter either because I was still able to use the thumbnail effect for Aero.

Anyways.. I did not do a system restore or whatever like cleanup or something, it just dissapeared, does windows Home Premium only have like a 10 month trial for Aero or something?

is this where you are looking:

1.Right-click an empty space on your desktop and select Personalize.
2.Click Window Color and Appearance in the Personalization window.
3.Click Open classic appearance properties for more color options.
4.Select Windows Vista Aero under Color Scheme.

Wow, that's strange, i just chec ked today, and nopw windows Aero is back...wow . Thanks for replying .

I have the same machine and problem but there is no Classic Appearance Properties????
