I have a ide hard drive with xp32bit. i just got another hd, sata 3.0 and i want to use that as my primary hd and put xp64bit on it. I want to keep my 32bit os for when i need to flash my xbox360. is there a way where i can use the sata hd and just have my other hd as a backup or do both OS's have to be on the same hard drive?

You can have the different OS's on separate hard drives.

Use the BIOS to select which drive to boot from.

once i do that...if i boot the 64bit, will the 32bit show in my computer and act as a data drive?

There's no reason why you shouldn't be able to.

When I used a dual boot system I created a folder in the OS that had a larger partition and created a shotcut folder on the other partition for access.

It worked seamlessly.
