If it's a downloaded file then you need to download it again. If it's a file that was on your hard drive it might get fixed with a hard drive check such as 'chkdsk'. Is this just one file or many and what type of file? We need more info. If this is happening to a lot of local files then you may have a RAM issue or possibly hard drive failure.
