I'm looking at the p6n platinum for my gaming computer, but i'm only going to be buying an intel e6600 for it. the reason that i'm getting this mobo is so that i won't have to buy a new one when I need to upgrade to quad core (i'm also planning to buy the OEM version of vista). is this logical thinking or will the mobo go out of date too soon and then i'll have to spend more money replacing it.

thanks evry1

Obviously it'll work with current quad core CPUs, but there is no guarentee it'll work with Penryn. There have not been any official announcements concerning backwards compatibility with the Penryn family except that we know it'll use the same physical socket (775).
