I was wondering how fan controllers work..
like what connections does it have.. what connects have the fan controller to the fans to make you be able to control their speeds.??
is it just a power adapter connection or what.??

also are there led controllers of some kind where you could turn on and off your small leds at any given time.. how would that work.. how much do they costs.. etc.

thanks..

Have you done any reseach on this?

The basic fan controlers are nothing more then a couple of veriable resistors. So as you turn the nob it's increasing or decreasing the voltage to the fan. Most controlers come with both the standard 3 or 4 pin fan connections you find on motherboards and others have regular molex conections. But diffrent fans will only work with certain controlers. Most fans now are brushless and need a Pulse Width Modulation controler such as this.

If you have a basic old fashioned brush fan then any veriable 1k resistor will do.

Here is a good selection of controlers.

If you have diffrent lights you want to control there are many fan controlers that will allow you to turn those on and off as well. Just look around and do some work yourself. You'll find what you need easy enough.

Thanks bro.. very much appreciated
