Need of Nero in Todays's Environment

With USB technology becoming more & more popular by the day , what will be the need or usefulness of Compact Disks (CDs) & DVDs ? Also what will be the need for programs such as Nero ? By when do you see DVDs getting completely phased out like the way floppies got phased out . Also don't you think the DVD burning function of Nero will lose it's value since you don't need to burn data to a Pan Drive (Flash Drive) .

With Broadband speeds getting faster by the day & with Google experimenting with putting up a 1 Gigabyte/sec Internet Network , don't you think the need of utilities like WinRaR (File Compression) , DAP ( Data Acceleration) & Torrent ( Alternate File Transmission Protocol ) will gradually start diiminishing . Also Hard Disk Sizes are getting bigger by the day , so that's another reason why I see Compression utilities's usefulness decreasing .

Nero may lose its market ,bcz of availability of flash drives & competitors & reach of opensource software, but its not only burning software, the give lot of tools with nero like media-center,video editor/converter, audio editor & other tools

fro compression utilities , its need some more years bcz Google i planning for 1 gbs internet only in selected place of USA (not even full USA ), what about the rest of the world,,

check this

Asia & Europe have more number of users than US, if you look at the penetration graph Europe & Asia has lot of chance for gaining more number of internet user's in future

rather than compression those utilities are used also used packing many files into one archive during transferring.. if you have few hundreds of documents , how can you transfer it without archiving it one file , if not possible to share the files 500 files individually
