I run XP PRO with the latest service packs. 2 days ago for the first time I
noticed that the scroll lock function was activated. My Logitech Wave
keyboard does not have a scroll lock key. However, I could turn off the
scroll lock function by running the "osk" function and using the onscreen
keyboard to disable scroll lock. Unfortunately now whenever I touch the
keyboard I get this green message at the bottom of the screen telling me that
scroll lock is off or on. Very irritating! To make matters worse I the scroll lock issue is affecting how programs work. Two questions:
1. Any ideas as to why this scroll lock on function suddenly appears at
boot up?
2. Is there anyway to get rid of this annoying message about the status of
the scroll lock function which is now permanently on my monitor screen
whenever I touch the keyboard?
Thanks, Michael

Disable the keyboard driver and use the scroll knob on the mouse
