I just recieved a used hard drive because my computer at start up would say " no Operating system found". I realized it was not recognizing the hard drive. I have now put in the other hard drive, it now recognises it. I changed boot order to cd first, and hard drive second. I start to install windows, i get to a point where it says "computer must reboot, setup will continue after reboot". After it restarts it just goes back to the beginning of setup and starts install at the beginning. Please if any1 knows what im doing wrong id be greatful for help. Im about to throw this damn computer through the wall.
If you have a Dell or HP, and even some aftermarket boards, have a boot menu that you can use to set a one time boot drive instead of using the bios. Usually its F11 or F12. If yours doesn't have that then when it goes to reboot press the key to get into the bios and change the boot order back to hard drive 1st and cd-rom second.
