Bit of a weird one, or to me at least.

Am running vista, PC has both optical out and audio out (speakers). In the RealTek Audio devices, if I set the Optical out as the default, I get sounds from all sources, ie. MP3's, movies and from websites, such as youtube videos and flash animations, however, when I change the default device to the speakers, I get sound from the MP3's and movies etc, but I do not get any sound being sent the websites such as youtube.

I do however get the systems beeps when I have it set to the speakers, so the only sounds I cannot hear is from websites.

Does anybody have any ideas what could be wrong?
