Maybe you know how to fix this. It is driving me crazy...

When I attach my canon USB camera, the PC goes through the usual install routine. It then asks for a specific file, CNDPTPC.dll, of which there are many copies on my hard drive. When I point it at one, thusly:

http://lh3.ggpht.com/_yR_YsDdz8M8/SdQoH75LQnI/AAAAAAAABfI/JODCM_b2Feo/moz-screenshot-4.jpg

and click OK, I then get this:

http://lh6.ggpht.com/_yR_YsDdz8M8/SdQoINspugI/AAAAAAAABfQ/oZsRan-Ssgo/moz-screenshot-5.jpg

Note the extra "\" that has been prepended to the path and it cannot be removed from the path. It happens no matter where I locate the dll file and prevents the driver from being installed.

This is the problem. It only occurs with this particular device and only on this computer.

Any idea how to fix?
