No idea were this was to go, so decided it could be a vista issues lol.

anyway, as the topic name suggests I have problems with my resolution.


If I am in a game and change the resolution to 1920x1200, sometimes (well it is happening A LOT more now) when I came out of the game my screen resolution would have been switched to 800x600 from the previous setting (1920x1200).

When I would go to switch it back up to 1920x1200 it would seem like it was changing the res (screen would go blank for a second) but it would stay as 800x600. At first I was able to force the higher res through my CCC. but now the only way i can recover from this is to restart or log off.


If this happens, any games set to run at 1920x1200 crash when loading and my 1920x1200 resolution is unusable.

gfx card: Radeon 4870 X2
drivers/ccc version: 9.4
vista ultimate sp1 w/ dx 10.1
