A couple of important pieces of info required:

1) Are you planning to overclock?
2) I presume that gaming will be the main usage?

OC only CPU but not by much.
mainly gaming

your CPU will be the bottle neck, if you keep your old ram making 2GB, if you ditch your old ram and only have 1GB that will be your bottle neck. non the less 3600 is not really a gaming CPU.

Seems to me like that video card might be a bit overkill for a system like that. Just a guess though, I'd have to look into that. You might be better off going with an 8600GTS and overclocking it, I'm assuming you wanted a DX10 card.. spend the extra cash on a better motherboard or something. That PSU will be plenty for the system you've laid out and then some, assuming its a solid PSU.
I've had luck with FSP group PSU's, if you are looking into alternatives.

How much is that RAM going for?

He is getting 2GB there, 2 sticks of 1GB. He also said he was going to overclock his CPU. I have a Sempron 3100 on s754 with an X800XT and 1 GB of PC2700 ram, and I can run games at decently high specs. Doom 3 runs at just below max quality (I don't have a 512MB video card which max requires), Quake 4 is in the same area, Half Life 2 is pretty much maxed out, with 2xAA and 16xAF, FEAR at medium settings. All resolutions at 1280x1024, and I get a steady framerate in all situations. Mind you my sempron is clocked at 2.6GHz instead of 1.8 ;). Pretty much on par with a single core 3700-3800. CPU's will not have too much of an effect on gaming as opposed to Video cards. Perhaps the 8800GTS will be a wise decision anyway.

How about my PSU?

I will OC that cpu , as much as the Stock HSF can handle, under 56C

Use this for appropriate Wattage calculations:

I have no clue about Athena brand power supplies.

looks about 400W
I hope 28A is enough to power the GPU
