I've had Vista 64 for about a year and a half. Really love it, its been great for me. I have DSL and recently changed my telephone number and this required a call to Verizon to get my DSL to work after the number change. Now for some reason when I go to windows mail it keeps asking me for a password. No matter how many times I type it in it keeps popping up and I cannot send or receive email. This is a serious problem now and stressing me out.

I cant get help from Verizon because they say its a Windows mail problem.

I cant get help from Microsoft because I have and OEM copy.

How can I fix this, can I uninstall windows mail and reinstall it? Is there another fix?

No its correct. I have it printed out on a verizon paper. I have contacted Verizon, they dont understand why it wont work and tell me they cant help me cause its a Windows mail problem, not a verizon problem, they walked me through everything to try and fix it.
The username and password sign me into Verizon Central for support and Verizon.net to pay my bill no problem, but windows mail wont accept it.
I even did a password reset and it still wont take it, but I can sign into the other things with the new password.
Zoron, what do you mean delete your mail account info and recreate it? How?

Delete your mail account from Windows Mail. Then, recreate it. Go to the Accounts option under the Options menu to access the account... just like you did when you first set up the account. You can also try upgrading to Windows Live Mail if that doesn't work.

I deleted the mail account and created a new one with the same username and password and after I clicked finish, it asks for the password again but wont accept it. WTF?

I guess I'm going to have to format my drive and reload windows.

I did try upgrading to windows live mail, but when it moves my windows mail info to windows live mail it still asks for the password.
