I have a brand new I7 computer with 12GB of ram.

I was checking my Vista 64 bit to see how much RAM was registering... apparently It's only 8gb is this normal or now?
I should have 2 sets of 6GB of RAM using triple channel memory.

Is only seeing 8gb normal? what is going on with my pc?

No, its not normal. Why 12gb or ram? 8gb is overkill.
