Whenever I go to a folder and want to highlight a file I cant just highlight the name like in XP, i have to highlight everything, the date it was created the category everything, this is very annoying does anyone know how to fix this problem.

Hi VistaVendetta, I really don't understand what you mean. Are you talking about selecting files, or how selected files look like under Vista?

In any case, have you tried going to the View menu of Windows Explorer (just press Alt+V if you can't see it) and selecting List?
