I have win xp 32 installed, an Nvidia 8800GT Video card, Asus P5B Deluxe Motherboard (SoundMax Digital HD Audio onboard), 2 GB RAM, 1.5 TB HDD space...
I am having the problem with all audio on the machine - if I play a quicktime file, avi file, wmv, or play through Adobe Premiere the audio starts to crackle and go berzerk and lose sync, all system sounds sound funny as well.
I recently reinstalled my windows xp on a new HDD. I know it's not a hardware issue because I kept my old XP setup on the other HDD and if I go back into the Bios and Bootup from the old HDD, everything works fine, except on the new HDD I have Adobe Master CS4 installed (it wouldn't install on the old HDD because I had CS2 on there so I went with another HDD)
I have updated all the drivers, rolled back drivers, installed the original drivers that came with the motherboiard and the Video card - nothing works.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be the problem?
