i need a reliable and long lasting solution that would allow me to have a centralized cable connection with wireless at the second floor of my house on one side to be able to connection to an xbox 360 and wii at the basement of my house on the opposite side.

i can not move my centralized cable connection with wireless router because it is hooked up to a desktop via LAN.

i have thought of many options such as getting a wireless bridge or using an ethernet to coax or power bridge.

but i am not familiar with either technology

can someone please help me find a solution that would allow me to play xbox live without any hick ups?

I have a Buffalo Air-Station wireless converter that has 2 free lan ports, which can can connect gaming devices.  I don't know if it has to be connected to a computer or if XBox has whatever you need to connect to the network.  Would be worth a look

If you get it, let us know how it works out.  I don't game but know a lot of people that do and don't like to recommend something unless I know it works, at least to people that just want to buy something that is suggested but won't research
