We probably need to know what the model of the printer is and what you are having trouble with. We have no idea what level of computer skills you have.
By your post, I would guess that you don't have any idea how to connect it or install it. Do you have the appropriate cable (most likely USB)? Do you have the driver disk that it came with? A lot of times you can just plug in the printer and Windows will already have the driver. If not, you have the disk, when it asks for the driver, just pop it and and let it search the disk for the driver.
