Hi

Iam having problems finding out what is going on with my computer

This happend when i was away from my computer, this is what i came back to:

1. all folder`s from C:\ was all over the desktop "windows",Programfiles"
"autoexec.bat","Boot.ini" and so on.

2. My Documents was changed, from C:\documents and settings\john\my documents
To this: C:\

3. Cant remove folders from desktop, without deleting from C:\
But files dont disseapear from desktop, changing names of the folder on desktop
Dont work either, the folder in C drive changes name but not the folder on
desktop.

4. Creating New Folders on the desktop doesent work either, first i get a error message "unable to create the folder "new folder" the system cannot find the file
specified"
And then 2 "New folders" end up in C:\
Cant drag/copy paste the folders back to C:\
Cant save files from IE to Desktop, they end up in my users "Desktop" folder.

it seems like the desktop is acting like the C:\ and the desktop has been "moved" if you will

i need to know how to change this back, i fixed the "my Documents" folder back to its orginal folder location, but how do you do that with the desktop.

Thanks , this is really strange. to do this by it self? i belive in AI now, or maybe its just a gremlin

look for the my documents icon - right click it and select properties
change the location and it should move/copy all the files to that location.
